Why we built this
Each venue type has its own gotchas. Outdoor venues need rain backup plans and noise ordinance checks. Hotels have F&B minimums and corkage fees. Barns have power and pest considerations. Backyards need permits and neighbour coordination. Destination weddings need legal-requirements research. A venue-specific checklist catches the things you would otherwise discover too late.

Frequently asked questions
My venue type isn't listed exactly.
Pick the closest match. A vineyard is essentially Outdoor + Restaurant; a museum is essentially Hotel; an estate house is Hotel or Backyard depending on amenities.
Should I ask the venue all 30 questions?
Not in one go — work through them over multiple meetings. Most venue coordinators expect detailed questions and answer them in their standard tour or contract review.
What if the venue's answer is "no" to something?
It's better to find out before signing. Some "no's" are deal-breakers (no outside catering, no amplified music after 10pm), others are workable.
